My work at Birdlife_international involved the monitoring of biodiversity at cardamom and eastern plain. This monitoring work requires field work which enable me to experience at the ground and be with nature. I really enjoy gaining this marvelous ground experience. It provides me with the opportunity to see the ever green forest of Cardamom in Koh Kong and the deciduous forest of Eastern plain in Mondulkiri. Moreover, I am sometimes lucky enough to see the priceless wildlife namely banteng, deer, croc, macaque, hornbill, green peafowl, red-wattled lapwing, Sarus crane, etc.
Besides, working at Birdlife, I also give lectures on natural resources related subjects to undergraduates at Department of Environmental Science of Royal University of Phnom Penh. Currently, I also serve as a research supervisor to a group of Year 4 students conducting a research at Ang Tropeang Thmore Sarus Crane conservation area.
